Tony May

Before joining the public affairs-lobbying form Triad Strategies, Tony was executive vice president of central Pennsylvania's top consumer advertising agency, Neiman Group. His clients included Fortune 500 companies, statewide labor unions and non-profit entities. Among the successful statewide efforts were communications and marketing programs for Pennsylvania's prepaid college tuition program, insurance fraud and auto theft prevention, education reform, legal reform, adult literacy, securities fraud awareness, electricity and telecommunications competition and transportation services.

In the public sector, Tony was communications director for the late Gov. Robert P. Casey and press secretary for the late Gov. Milton J. Shapp. He supervised the selection and management of more than 100 public relations, advertising and communications professionals and managed relationships with more than a dozen advertising and public relations firms representing billings of more than $25 million a year.

Tony also served as the director of communications under House Speakers K. Leroy Irvis and James J. Manderino and director of communications at Kent State University. He also served as executive director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party for three years. He is a former reporter and editor for The Associated Press and newspapers in New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania. He is the past chair of the Pennsylvania Public Television Network and is a regular commentator on PCN and Harrisburg's CBS affiliate, WHP-TV.
