Dr. Thomas J. Baldino
Thomas J. (Tom) Baldino is a professor of political science at Wilkes University, joining the University in 1991. He specializes in American government and politics, particularly Congress, the Presidency, parties and elections. With his colleague, Kyle L. Kreider, he has co-authored three books on American election laws, campaigns and voting behavior, and is currently at work on a book about Pennsylvania's government with Dr. Paula Holoviak of Kutztown University. Dr. Baldino received his BA, summa cum laude, from LaSalle College, his MA from the University of Illinois, Urbana, and his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He taught previously at St. Francis University in Loretto and Juniata College, both in Pennsylvania. He has also served as a faculty fellow in the Legislative Office of Research Liaison in the PA General Assembly, the Luzerne County Government Study Commission in 2001-02 and on the Luzerne County Board of Elections for a four-year term ending in 2016.
